Terms of service

The basics

These terms cover your use of hautrebel.com and anything you buy from us. Haut Rebel is a brand of Remoza Ecommerce, a sole proprietorship registered in Berlin, Germany. Our full legal details are in our Impressum. Where these terms say "we" or "us", we mean that operator; "you" means you, the customer.

By placing an order, you're agreeing to these terms and to our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy. If something here doesn't sit right, email us before you order — we'd rather sort it out first.

Who can order

You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. We currently accept delivery addresses in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. An order addressed elsewhere may be cancelled and refunded.

Our products

We sell curated Korean skincare and cosmetics, and we describe every product as honestly as we can. But cosmetics are not medicines — nothing we say is medical advice, and no product is a treatment for a medical condition. Skin is personal: patch-test anything new, read the ingredients, and if you're pregnant, under a doctor's care, or reacting to something, talk to a professional. Colours and packaging on screen can vary slightly from what arrives.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency of your selected market — AUD, NZD, SGD, GBP or USD — and the checkout total is the price you pay. You'll see the full total, including shipping, before you confirm. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify Payments.

Import VAT, GST, duty and customs-clearance charges may be separate — they're covered in our Shipping Policy, and in short you're the importer of record. If a price is ever plainly wrong through a genuine error, we may cancel that order and refund you rather than hold you to a mistake; we'll always tell you first.

Your order

When you place an order, that's an offer to buy. The contract forms when we dispatch your order, not the moment you click pay. Until then we may decline or cancel it — for example if an item is out of stock, the price was wrong, or we can't verify payment — and if we've already charged you, we refund you in full.

Delivery, returns and your consumer rights

How and when we ship is set out in our Shipping Policy. Refunds, faults and cancellations are in our Refund Policy.

Mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live come first. This includes the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand consumer guarantees where applicable, UK statutory consumer rights, and any non-excludable rights that apply in Singapore or the United States. If a product is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, contact us for a remedy; nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot legally be excluded.

Using this site

The words, images, brand and design on this site are ours or used with permission, and are protected under German copyright law — please don't copy or reuse them commercially without asking. Some product pages show independent reviews from public sources, clearly attributed; those words belong to their authors, and we quote them for reference, not as our own.

Please use the site honestly: don't attempt to break, scrape, or misuse it, or to interfere with anyone else's use of it.

Liability

We stand behind what we sell. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes anything that can't legally be limited or excluded — including applicable statutory consumer guarantees and remedies. Where liability can legally be limited, it is limited to the remedies permitted by the applicable law.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by German law, where we're based. If you're a consumer, that does not take away the mandatory protections of the country where you habitually live. Those mandatory protections prevail over anything inconsistent in these terms.

We are not obliged to, and do not, take part in dispute resolution before a German consumer arbitration board (see our Impressum). That doesn't affect any right you have to raise a matter with a regulator or a court.

Changes

We may update these terms as the store grows or the law changes. The version that applies to your order is the one that was live when you placed it.
